Community Commitment

STA & STC’s regional management and local employees are mothers and fathers, neighbors and friends with roots that go deep in the communities we serve. STA donates services and team members devote countless hours each year to community service. We collect can goods and groceries for local food pantries, transport the homeless, and stuff holiday stockings for military families and their loved ones serving overseas. From Naugatuck, Connecticut, to Riverside, California, STA & STC employees are making a difference in their communities year-round.

Environmental Initiatives

Student Transportation Inc also demonstrates its commitment to the community by adopting environmentally-friendly operations, like the conversion of more than 200 yellow school buses in Ontario, Canada, to biodiesel fuels. Our Parkview Transit division was the first school bus company in Ontario to run a biodiesel fuel blend in a large number of its buses and the program continues to expand replacing diesel fuel with fuels made from renewable resources like soybean, corn and canola oils. The resulting reduction in emissions is providing a healthier environment for our young passengers and cleaner air for employees and the community at large.
