Founded with the goal of becoming North America’s premier safe and service-oriented student and special service transportation provider, Student Transportation Inc. was formed in 1997 by Denis J. Gallagher. With roots that can be traced to New Jersey’s Coast Cities Bus Service established in 1922 by Gallagher’s grandfather, Student Transportation Inc. successfully completed an initial public offering and its income participating securities (IPS) began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange in December 2004. Student Transportation Inc. has grown through a strategic series of acquisitions, bids and conversions and today is the third-largest and one of the fastest-growing student transportation companies in North America.
